On Monday, 27th of February, members of the SSS JUMC have met with the School of Medicine in English students interested in scientific work. Prof. Agata Ptak-Belowska, MD, PhD, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, inaugurated the event and prof. Tomasz Rogula, MD, PhD, currently associated with the University of Texas, talked about differences between Polish and American approach to studying medicine. Later, President of the SSS Jerzy Krzeszowiak presented the most important aspects about how SSS works, while Dyhjana Ali and Kuba Kupniewski reflected on main problems that School of Medicine in English students encounter in course of attempting to conduct their own scientific research. After a short break, Heads of Students’ Scientific Groups from both Polish and English programmes presented field of interests and future plans for scientific development of their SSGs’.
Our meeting has met with a great response from the students of School of Medicine in English – thank you so much for your attendance and we hope that it is a start of a fruitful scientific cooperation between Polish and English programmes students.
