The third edition of nationwide conference for medical students Medyczne Targi Wiedzy (Medical Knowledge Fair) took place from 13th to 14th of January, 2023. This year’s edition was held under the patronage of Rector of Jagiellonian University prof. Jacek Popiel, PhD, Vice-Rector of the Jagiellonian University for Medical College prof. The conference, in which took part more than 500 participants and during which more than 100 scientific research were presented, was one of the largest interdisciplinary students’ platforms for interchanging ideas and knowledge within the field of medicine to be held in Poland.
During the first day of the event, which was held in Auditorium Maximum JU, over a dozen of scientific sessions took place covering numerous topics e.g. internal medicine, surgery, pharmacy, midwifery, nursing. Official opening of the conference took place during Inaugural Evening with Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Studies Program at Medicine and Dentistry prof. The Inauguration ended with announcing the winners of previously held scientific sessions.
The second day of the Conference started with engaging workshops programme including surgical suturing, plastering, covering basics of ECG and many more. The culminating moments of the whole event were discussion between the representatives of the students’ societies and winners’ session, both held in spectacular interiors of Aula Duża at Collegium Novum JU. We would like to thank the representatives of IFMSA-Poland, Polish Association of Dental Students, Polish Pharmaceutical Students’ Association, Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland and Students’ Scientific Societies from Polish medical universities for taking part in a fruitful conversation covering highs and lows of being a Board member of different students’ societies.
This year’s edition of the Conference wouldn’t take place if not for a huge support from scientific sessions and workshops coordinators, as well as all of the other students who even in the smallest amount helped in organizing this event – thank you for your collaboration and dedication.
